Make an Impact

Pivot Music was started by Barry Landis, the former president of Word Music Group and Atlantic Records/Christian division. After many years of success in music, Barry decided to help Christian filmmakers make, market, and distribute their films. Now Pivot Music is combining expertise in music with experience in making, marketing, and distributing films to create a full suite of music solutions for directors and music supervisors. Pivot’s new initiative, CROSSOVER, is going to provide an opportunity for music/worship leaders and support teams to sing and play on some of the biggest faith-oriented movies in the world through a unique, flexible, and non-binding agreement. It’s our vision to be that bridge to people in Hollywood.

  • Yes, pretty much any style; pop, rock, country, R&B, Americana…

  • Possibly. That’s what we are trying to find out…are you good enough? If you will take the time to make one demo for us, we can let you know. Our desire is to create a relationship with a few people who can produce several songs we can pitch to filmmakers and if you have the stuff, we will make you an offer to pay you for your work.

  • Not if you think about it—this is your shot. You have an opportunity to show us what you can do. If you went on a television show, could you say, “can I have a do-over?” Probably not going to happen. This is a business for us that has a missional impact. Do the best you can do, from a singing standpoint as well as a technical standpoint. Use your resources and network to produce this out- however minimal or full on you desire.

  • Yes, anyone who is a believer in Christ, who has a gift, interest and access to do this can and should try out. It doesn’t cost anything, there could be money in it and there may be a ministry opportunity.
